Yonkers Hip-Hop star DMX is free after serving over 90 days in jail on drug, fraud, and animal cruelty charges, a representative confirmed with AllHipHop.com. The rapper was released from "Tent City," aka the Maricopa County Jail, late yesterday afternoon (May 13). DMX's conviction and prison sentence was a culmination of a 2008 filled with legal woes. The rapper’s last arrest resulted in an extradition back to Phoenix after attempting to hide out in producer Scott Storch’s Florida mansion. Originally, DMX, born Earl Simmons, was to serve only 90 days in jail. His tenure was extended when he faced additional charges for allegedly assaulting a corrections officer over a food dispute. During his incarceration, X revealed plans to start a Christian ministry upon his release.

"I'm gonna start a TV show called Pain and Perseverance, it's about how I can reach people that the average person can't reach because I'm grounded," he stated. "I'm going to give my first sermon, in the church. That's going to be incredible for me and hopefully the congregation of that church. I've completed my gospel album. On every one of my albums there's been a gospel song and prayer. Because of my image those songs are never made singles except my sixth album where they did 'Lord Give Me a Sign.'"DMX was originally supposed to release a double album, one with his Hip-Hop comeback titled Walk With Me Now, the other a gospel album titled You'll Fly with Me Later.

Both projects remain in limbo. At press time, DMX has not released a statement confirming his plans for the rest of 2009.

State officials said Wednesday that they had identified six probable cases of the swine flu in Maryland - including in two school-age children - as the World Health Organization signaled a pandemic is imminent and federal health authorities said there were 91 confirmed cases of the virus spread across 11 other states.

None of those sickened in Maryland have been hospitalized, and all had links to people who had traveled to Mexico, the epicenter of the outbreak, or other countries where there have been swine flu cases, Gov. Martin O'Malley said.

The schools attended by the two children - Folger McKinsey Elementary School in Severna Park and Milford Mill Academy in southwestern Baltimore County - are not being closed, and there is no fear at this time that the virus has spread to other students.

Still, the six likely cases in Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties, which are expected to be confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday - are probably not the last, officials said. The state is testing at least a half-dozen more specimens from people with flu-like symptoms and links to countries where there has been flu, so the numbers could climb.

The new cases reported by the CDC Wednesday morning added Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Indiana and Massachusetts to a list that included New York, California, Kansas, Ohio and Texas. State officials in Maine said laboratory tests had confirmed three cases there, not yet included in the CDC count.

"These numbers are almost out of date by the time I say them," Dr. Richard Besser, acting director of the CDC, told reporters.

Officials have advised against nonessential travel to Mexico, but Besser said the United States has no plans to close the borders. The Border Patrol is on the lookout for sick people and is handing out cards with the warning signs of the flu on them, he said, but closing the borders won't work to stop its spread.

Be active- A lot of us do something constructive sitting in our chairs all day, crunching numbers or ebaying, or just listening to the #1 online station for the DMV, (www.dmvradio.net), but consider doing something construcitve on your feet. Get ya heart rate going, walk it out, sweat it out, whatever method you use to do it, make sure you keep a routine going so your system can be strong and ready to fight any virus.
4. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. – PLEASE!!!! It only takes 2 seconds.
5. Don’t be inconsiderate- If you know you are sick and have symptoms of this virus, STAY HOME!! It isnt fair to others for you to even acidentally spread your germs. Please hold it down and post up at your humble abode.

This gives the DMV true street credibility when it comes to innovation. People who are born and raised in Washington, DC are aware of what Go-Go music represents, but for those who do not, let me paint you a small picture. Imagine the scene in “The Matrix 3” where everyone dancing in slow motion, bodies close, music loud energy flowing. You could feel the heat of the drums, base, percussion, and chimes. Now adjust the speed with original lyrics, as well as the top-rated cover songs in hip-hop, and you have Go-Go music. Spike Lee featured EU in the acclaimed indie film “School Daze”. I must say that Go-Go has come a long way since the 80’s when I partied at places like Chrystal Skate and the Black Hole. One Four Honey Represent uptown is what we shouted at Club U on Saturday nights with Rare Essence. From appearing on Jay Leno with Ludicrous, and the World MTV awards, to Big G’s long running portrayal on the big hit “The Wire”, the question still remains. When is DC going to get their Props? Take a moment and really listen to the radio. You can hear our music in the rotation. DJ Flex is definitely representing on “Punch Drunk Love” featuring Kanye West and Common. Go-Go music will become mainstream before you know it. You cannot deny DC’s raw talent but for so long.
