Dr. Dre Says "F**k Rush Limbaugh"

Hip-Hop super producer Dr. Dre has weighed in on controversial talk show host Rush Limbaugh. The Hip-Hop producer is world famous for his work with rappers like Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent in addition to selling millions of records as a member of N.W.A. and as a solo artist.

Limbaugh was dropped from a group of investors who were attempting to bid for the

NFL's St. Louis Rams, due to his controversial views on race and politics.

When TMZ cameras caught Dre leaving an event in Hollywood, he replied "man f**k Rush Limbaugh."

A number of others have already spoke out against Limbaugh and his involvement with the SCP Worldwide investment group. Dr. Dre joins the list of Limbaugh critics, including Reverend Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and others. Last week SCP Worldwide chairman Dave Checketts dropped Limbaugh from the group's attempt to bid for the Rams, labeling his involvement "a complication and a distraction." "As such, we have decided to move forward without him and hope it will eventually lead us to a successful conclusion," Checketts said. When quizzed on the release of his long delayed album Detox, Dre was equally curt. "We doing it," Dre said.

Kevin Liles to Leave Warner Music Group

Pioneering Hip-Hop executive Kevin Liles will leave Warner Music Group it was announced today (September 3). Liles recently appeared at a press conference in New York promoting Jay-Z’s upcoming album Blueprint 3, which is being distributed by Atlantic, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group. Today, Liles announced he was stepping down from his role as Executive Vice President, to pursue other business ventures.

"In the past couple weeks I've made one of the most important decisions of my life - to depart the Warner Music Group in order to focus more on new entrepreneurial endeavors in talent management, entertainment, media and my personal philanthropic and political passions,” Liles told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “I am thankful for the opportunities that Edgar and Lyor have given me, most recently in entrusting me with driving the company's global artist services strategy, which is redefining the way labels and artists work together. My work here is now complete and I'm excited about the next chapter of my life." Kevin Liles started his career at Def Jam as an unpaid intern in 1991. By 1993, he was the Mid-Atlantic Marketing Manager. By 1998, he was anointed President of the Def Jam Music Group. During his time at the label, he doubled the company’s revenues, by signing acts like Jay-Z, Irv Gotti and Murder Inc., DMX and numerous others. Liles was named EVP of Warner Music Group in 2004, shortly after Def Jam Chairman Lyor Cohen took over as CEO of Warner Music Group. "Kevin and I have worked together since the day he joined Def Jam as an intern 18 years ago,” said Lyor Cohen, WMG’s Chairman and CEO of Recorded Music. “He has become a trusted friend, a brilliant executive and an incredible business partner. Together, we have built companies, signed and developed fantastically talented artists, and brought some outstanding music to the world. Even though Kevin’s chosen to pursue a new challenge, we’ll continue to work together in many aspects of the entertainment industry. I’m so excited to see what’s next for Kev, and he takes with him all my love and respect."

Liles will continue to act as a consultant to Warner Music Group, in addition to pursuing other business ventures.

Charges Against DMX To Be Dropped

Embattled rapper DMX’s legal troubles may be over for now, it seems. A source close to the rapper told AllHipHop.com exclusively that a Mariposa County, Arizona judge will dismiss the most recent charges brought against the rapper this week. Speaking under condition of anonymity, the source said that as a result of the plea deal DMX accepted on Tuesday (June 2), the judge presiding over the case is set to dismiss the charges of felony attempted aggravated assault to which he pleaded guilty.

The charges stem from an alleged altercation between DMX, born Earl Simmons, and guards at the Tent City Jail in Arizona during his last stint in jail. While serving a 90-day sentence for animal cruelty, drug and fraud related charges, DMX is accused of having verbally threatened guards at the facility. DMX was release from the Tent City Jail on May 14.

A week later he was seen out and about during the entertainment industry’s annual convergence on Miami, Florida for Memorial Day Weekend, where he spoke openly about his plans on getting back to the music. According to the source, X May return to Miami following his court appearance on Monday mourning.

Who is it to say that women are too pretty to box?

Is there a fear of seeing women battered and bruised after trading blows for twelve rounds?

These are questions that roam the minds of many fans when it comes to women being featured in this brutal sport. We have not seen women boxers showcased on television or in major venues, and excelling in the sport since Ali, Georgina, Foreman, and Spinks. I am speaking of the daughters, not their fathers whom we all know ruled the sport in their time. Some may say that the only reason why there was a slight demand for women in boxing is because of the accolades of their parents. True fans of women boxing are left with endless channel surfing at odd hours of the night hoping to find a match. Reality television has also tried their hand in bringing light to the fact that there are women out there who are serious and committed to the sport. This is not a fad people. This is a genuine love for the sport. Despite a low demand to see women shine as much as the men, women professional boxers are still following their dreams to excel in the sport. This dream is continuously being fueled by the support of friends, community, trainers, and boxing associations who stand by a vision that if a forum is provided, the demand would be lifted and fulfilled. Roberts said that doctors gave her daughter a 15% chance of survival, but through constant hospital care her daughter's condition improved. Roberts said that last Christmas, in what she described as an "act of God," her daughter Maleah was finally released from the hospital with her health stabilized. Now, Roberts is resuming her boxing career after a nearly three-year absence from the ring, and Saturday with Maleah in attendance at the Daily News Golden Gloves, the 22-year-old showed that her skills and determination have not diminished. Showing an impressive body attack, the former top-ranked 125-pound woman in the country gave Katheryne Hernandez (Suffolk PAL) a total of four standing-eight counts in rounds three and four and the 125-pound women's quarterfinal was stopped at 1:57 of the fourth round at the Suffolk PAL in Brentwood, L.I. Roberts was also named the P.C. Richard & Son Boxer of the Night for her performance. "People always ask me if I'm fighting for my daughter," Roberts said with Maleah in her lap. "I tell them that she's already won her fight. Now it's my turn." I am an avid fan of boxing and have been since the age of ten. It is literally in my blood as my grandfather was a middleweight champion. I love boxing and whish that I could see more women featured in the sport consistently, not periodically. I just have two words………..More please!

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY: BLACK WOMEN ARE GENERALLY NOT MAGAZINE COVERWORTHY!!!

April 19, 2009. MediaTakeOut.com just got a hold of a recent interview of actor Matthew McConaughey. In it, Matt made some very QUESTIONABLE comments regarding Black women and magazine covers. Here's an excerpt from the interview:

ELLE: Barbara Walters seemed to be hitting on you during your 2006 interview, which ended with you rubbing her feet. If you’d both been single, might you have let her have her way with you? MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY: I would’ve had to tell those cameras to cut. ELLE: All joking aside…? MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY: Look, I think Anthony Quinn once said, “There’s something wrong with any heterosexual man under 80 if he can’t find an angle with every woman.” There’s a lot of truth to that. ELLE: Any woman you can think of who might not be cover worthy, but whom you find attractive? MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY: Not so specifically, but yeah. And I see it more with black women, who get dressed up and they’re wearing’ everything to fit snug, and they’re walking the walk. And you’re like, Man, look at you go! Where did you get that? She might be a larger package, but boy, she sure understands how she’s wrapped.

This guy seriously needs to limit the amount of mushrooms and herbs he absorbs because clearly, this dummy has no idea what he just did. Black women everywhere will be giving Matthew an earful. Chat boards, community sites, and call-in radio will have plenty of material to cover their daily slot. Matthew better hope that a flock of divas don’t put sugar in his tank and spay-paint the word IDIOT across the hood. Just because you have a fetish for all women, does not give you a ghetto pass to make comments regarding the Black Queen and not receive a backlash of negative response. You are a sexy man Matthew, but you lost cool points on that one………

Jamie Foxx Practices Literal Insanity for The Soloist

Could this be why Jamie Foxx went in on Miley Cyrus and later apologized? With any actor, it’s always a plus when he or she can completely dedicate themselves to a role, but Mr. Foxx may have put himself out there a little too much. According to the Oscar winner, it got to the point where he nearly lost his mind playing real life homeless schizophrenic cello prodigy Nathanial Ayers in the upcoming film The Soloist. “You had to lose your mind every day you're on set, and sometimes you didn’t have enough time to get your mind back before the weekend,” Foxx told EUR’s Lee Bailey. “I just remember calling my manager like, ‘I know what it is; I know why he's crazy!’ And my manager's like, ‘Foxx? Are you okay?’ I said, ‘No, no, no! He does this because of this, he does that because of this, and I'm gonna go crazy, and I'm gonna lose everything, and I'm gonna be homeless, but I'm gonna be able to play the piano great…’[My manager] says, ‘Foxx, I'm on my way over.’” Despite believing that actors don’t need their own therapists while filming difficult roles, Foxx ended up taking his manager and agent’s suggestion that he talk to a psychiatrist, “just so you'll have a way to get out of your head,” they said, according to the actor. As a result, Foxx is sold on bringing in a therapist when the need exists. “I had no idea that the mind could be that fragile,” he said.
